Because the first version(s) of Semestr+ operates without required account registration, we minimize data collection to only what is necessary for communication, app stability, and service security.

A. Information You Provide Voluntarily (Waitlist)

Contact Information: When you sign up for our waitlist, we collect your email address (and any optional details you choose to submit, such as your university) to notify you about app access, updates, and launch announcements.

B. Automatically Collected Technical Data

When you use the Semestr+ mobile app or website, certain technical data may be processed automatically:

• Device & System Information: Operating system version, device model, and unique hardware identifiers used strictly for app compatibility and device verification.
• Usage & Analytics: Anonymized interactions within the app (such as feature usage, session duration, and quiz completion metrics) to help us diagnose bugs and improve performance.
• Network Logs: Standard server logs, IP addresses, and request headers logged automatically by our backend and cloud infrastructure for security, rate-limiting, and DDoS protection.

5. Data Storage & Local App State

Local Device Storage: The App stores practice questions, study progress, and preferences directly on your local device. Uninstalling the App or clearing local application data will reset your local state.

Waitlist Data Retention: Email addresses submitted for the waitlist are retained securely until you request removal or until the waitlist communications are concluded.

6. Your Data Rights & Choices

You retain full control over your information:

• Unsubscribe / Removal: You can opt out of waitlist communications at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any email we send or by contacting us directly through our support channels.
